Our Team

The American International Club is a social club serving from Almunecar to Torrox with a philanthropic focus raising funds for Spanish charities. Every year a significant donation is given to a local Spanish organization/s as a way of saying “thank you” to our host country.  Last year the membership donated over 1,000 Euros, to the Ciudad de los Niño’s, Taller de Amistad and ANAC which supports the Nerja Cultural Center. Their goal for 2009 is to increase that amount.  The club hosts monthly outings, bowling, walks, dinners, travel and informal coffee meetings.  Most recently, at “Resident’s Day” in Nerja they generated charity funds by selling coffee, cake, sangria and hand-made crafts  Even with all this work, their motto  “If it isn’t fun, we don’t do it”

Our diverse membership includes people who live here part-time and those who live here year round. Members are from all over the world and share the philosophy of having fun with a philanthropic component to generate funds for Spanish charities.  Events include luncheons, excursions, bowling, hikes, dinners and our monthly informal coffee meetings.
