 It is with deep sadness that I post this announcement on the web. Today, October 22, 2010 American International Club Founding Member Mike Patrick died at home in England. Mike had a sudden diagnosis and was given a short time to live; however, none of us expected this to occur in a matter of days. As we are in shock, one can only imagine the shock and sadness his wife Jill is experiencing. 

Mike was instrumental in the founding of the new club and separation from the former. He has always been  a great advocate. His direction and leadership will be missed but especially, his infectious laugh that could turn any uncomfortable situation around.  I as the other members will miss him greatly.

We are so sorry to hear about Mike's death. We are still in shock, especially that most of us had spoken with him just this week.

We cannot imagine the pain of losing a spouse, much more so suddenly. We will definitely miss Mike. Our entire membership is extending their deepest sympathy to Mike's wife Jill and your entire family.
